It was quite remote but that’s just the way we like it. The rooms were immaculate, extremely modern and tastefully decorated. A traditional style wee bar which added to our experience. The food was great: staff were superb being both friendly and attentive. I will return when in the Borders. Ps the locals who were in the pub added to a great atmosphere. Quiet, comfortable, excellent food and personal service. Nothing was too much trouble. Mattress in the room was a little shaped and could do with replacing, otherwise the stay was excellent.
