![I took this in Nuuk, Greenland in August 2018.. More specifically at the Nuuk Port and Harbour, the largest port in Greenland. 

Nuuk is the capital city of Greenland and I really enjoyed my few days there. Its easy to walk around and there's beautiful views on all sides :). I took this photo from a hill near my guest house. I had a nice walk up there and got some pretty awesome views. The mountains were breathtaking and the waters pristine and gorgeous!

Nuuk Port and Harbour is located in Old Nuuk, the picturesque old part of town. The harbour entrance is restricted due to the tide during much of the year and ice during winter. The inner port area is home to a marina for smaller vessels and ferry and larger vessels to the east side of the port area. And Nuup Kangerlua is a 160 km (99.4 mi) long fjord. It is the longest fjord on the Labrador Sea coast of Greenland, and one of the longest in the inhabited part of the country. I also took a wonderful boat ride on it, as well. "The facility is located by the sea and has a great view of the sunrise. Rooms are clean and well kept. Only downside would be that you are renting by the room, not the entire cabin. There are other guests who would be sharing the bathroom and the kitchen, and the rooms are not soundproof. There is some distance to the city as well. But all in all, great location to enjoy the nature."

"It’s the only hotel (+restaurant) in the area so the owner doesn’t have any incentive to be nice. I arrived around noon, walked 15 minutes from the airport to the hotel. No one was in the lobby. I found the way to the restaurant and asked if I could buy lunch. The staff at the bar said they didn’t know if they could serve lunch. Someone else said something like there was no food today. I only had a light breakfast at 6am & was starving so I asked if they could do a sandwich, cook eggs or give me bread or anything. He said no. Right behind us were pastry leftovers from breakfast... I asked where I could buy lunch : no other restaurant and since it was Saturday the grocery store was also closed. The guy then told me that they was no food anywhere and they might not even be delivered food for dinner… and that I could go back to the airport as they had little food there. So I walked back to the airport. They had microwaved pizza slices, instant noodles and junk food. So I took what I could for lunch and instant noodles for dinner just in case. Went back to the hotel and saw a few guys outside smoking : the owner was there, said he was surprised to see me (there were only 2 flights arriving that day) and checked me in. I asked if they would have food for dinner & he snapped back that for years he’s been here and dinner was always served at 6\. He didn’t listen when I tried to explain what happened. Owner is rude and seems to treat his staff poorly. Terrible experience. "

"Nice hotel and friendly staff. Comfy bed and nice food, but the climb all the way up the hill is not for the fainthearted. Not a lot of choice in Tasiilaq, but be prepared for a very steep walk if you are staying here."
