“The cabin was the perfect way to spend a weekend getaway. The views at sunrise and sunset were to die for. It was just as nice spending time in the cabin as it was hiking in Shenandoah and exploring nearby Orange. The entire weekend was such a nice escape from the city. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here.”

“My friends and I had a fantastic time staying at the dancing bear. The grounds were very clean and well maintained. The host was also easy to get ahold of. There is a wonderful view from the cabin overlooking the valley below. Just make sure to bring a flashlight for the stairs leading to the firepit when going down there at night because they are unlit and one of my friends did trip when using them in the dark.”

“We came to this property after a week in DC and a few days on the Eastern Shore. Place was amazing and restful. We picked this place since it was close to President Monroe’s house; MountPelier (sp) - Dolley and James Madison’s plantation. We wander the countryside so beautiful. “One (probably the smallest) of several lodgings on the property. Overall, a pretty cool place to stay. The whole unit has a subtle sway to rock you to sleep. Personally, I loved it. We stayed in 90 degree weather and the A/C was a LIFESAVER. My only real complaint was one of the other guests in the castle kept leaving the common kitchen a bit messy. Thinking about coming back and trying the hobbit house. We pretty much kept to ourselves, but there are plenty of common areas to hang out.”
