“Nice place ”

“The king room we booked had a bad A/C so they put us in a different room with two beds. The room was clean but we found a pair in socks between the beds. The mattress was very soft and not comfortable. Then the TV went out. I called now at 6 pm and the front desk lady said there was no one there to fix it. Said she didn't know anything about the TV just shut it off and wait to turn it back on. I asked what we were supposed to do if it didn't work and she just kept saying she was the only one……

“The room we reserved wasn't available at the designated check-in time, and it seemed the room we received instead wasn't as nice as the premium paid for a Gulf view; also, amenities associated with the mandatory resort fee (smores kit) weren't available, and beach chairs/umbrella were packed up by staff earlier than the time indicated, so we received no value for it. The property itself is nice, relatively new, and close to the beach, shopping, and restaurants.”

“We didn’t actually get to stay there because our flight was changed to due to bad weather and we didn’t buy the insurance for this stay. Neither the hotel or Expedia would allow us to change our reservation to the next night ”

“I did not feel safe parking the back door where I had to park was not working and poorly lit”

“We really loved our stay at The Tides. You can’t beat the location, walking right onto the beach, and every window has a view. Parking was easy. There are private chair rentals right in front of the hotel ($45/day for 2 chairs & an umbrella). Our room with 2 queen beds was amply big, as was the washroom. And a good gym too. We would definitely recommend.”

“We had a lovely stay at the Malaga Inn. We stayed in the older original part of the hotel. I can imagine this hotel was quite the place in its heyday! Although some little places are showing their age, we could not fault our stay. The beds were very comfortable, large rooms with beautiful antiques. The courtyard is beautiful with its fountain and abundance of foliage and plants, a peaceful, relaxing area to sit and drink coffee in the morning. The staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable……
