We were surprised to receive an upgrade to our room when we arrived. Everything was clean and the staff was more than accommodating. Breakfast was just okay, but good enough. The Inn was quiet, even when meetings were being held on the first floor. Parking was free and abundant. Lovely old inn that was close to shopping, dining and the lake.

This was a very cute, quaint inn and we would definitely book again. A bit disappointed that the restaurant doesn’t run regularly, the outside fire pit wasn’t going, and the signal was very bad when we went to watch TV at night. However, the clawfoot tub was very nice and the place was only 15 minutes from Skaneateles, which is why we were there.

Convenient location for Auburn and Skaneateles touring. Quiet as a church mouse. Historic old inn, former boys school built in 1851. Breakfast is enough to get you by. Bar and restaurant are only open for special events but you are welcome to enjoy the dining room and porch with your morning coffee, pastry and yogurt. You will probably be joined by the owner and others. Good place to chat about the area and local history. Or they’ll leave you be if you want your privacy. .
