Te Anau Golf Course Tours

Our stay was reasonable, but unfortunately it didn’t meet our expectations for the price of $309 per night. On arrival, there was no TV remote in the room, so we had to call reception to have one brought up. The king bed was actually two single beds pushed together, and the ridge down the middle made it quite uncomfortable to sleep on. The pillows were very flat, and the bedding was light, with no extra blanket provided, making the room feel cold overnight. We were also unable to open the Venetian blinds because the control rod had come loose and was positioned too high to reach or reattach. While the staff were helpful when contacted, the overall condition and comfort of the room were disappointing given the nightly rate. A few maintenance issues and better quality bedding would make a significant difference.

Breakfast was among the best we’ve ever had. The staff paid attention to every detail. Eco friendly touches did not detract from comfort and convenience. Glenorchy was peaceful and quiet and a perfect antidote to ski days in Queenstown. One of my favorite spots was the covered outdoor fireplace savoring a hot chocolate or a whiskey on a freezing night. I live a long way from New Zealand, but hope to return at some point.
