“Let me Begin by saying the staff were friendly and very helpful. That is the extent of anything positive about this hotel. The condition of the hotel can best be explained by saying it is like putting lipstick on a pig. They have done some renovations to the property however, it does not look like they're putting any real effort into providing a clean room. The linen were stained, the floors were disgusting ( even though they did lay some new flooring down in the sleeping areas) and even the……

“The home is very clean and comfortable. We were in town for a wedding that kept us very busy, but it would make for a great vacation stay. The host is very polite and responds to request/questions very quickly. We will be back soon!”

“This quiet getaway was exactly what we needed. This little cottage was absolutely amazing and beautiful, clean on the inside and well maintained. My wife loved everything about it not to mention they even decorated for Valentine’s Day and it was absolutely perfect. Definitely recommend to stay in the small town of Carthage and stay at the cottage. It has definitely been put on our list of places to revisit! ”

“Our host was very prompt in answering any questions we had. We stayed 3 nights, this place is quiet, private and the AC blows cold ! We fished ourselves silly and caught some nice ones!”

“Although we had reserved the room 3 weeks prior to arrival, there were problems getting a room for us. They ended up giving us a larger room than we needed. We had requested a king bed but settled. For 2 queens. Otherwise, the accommodations were fine.”
