if you plan on doing standing room only ticket, arrive very early to get a spot, lots of locals bring a small "floor mat" like a newspaper, or plastic sheet to "mark" their space. i recommend doing the same.
We were there for the Mariners-Oakland games, March 20-21, 2019, Ichiro's last games. The whole Dome ROCKED!
Went to the light show....super fun! Mass quantities of people.
We did not see any events at the Dome, but it draws lots of visitors and there are many good restaurants in the area.
