The dragonfly house is the perfect place to bring your friends and family and make unforgettable memories. The crystal-clear Nueces River is ideal for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and fishing. From watching the wildlife in the mornings and evenings, watching a beautiful Texas hill country sunrise, or star gazing at night, this quiet cabin will not disappoint. Amazing hills and river views can be seen from the large deck. The cabin has everything you need to enjoy your stay. This house provides the perfect atmosphere for a peaceful and relaxing trip that you will surely enjoy!!!! Need room for more family and friends? We have a total of six cabins on this 11-acre riverfront property. You will also enjoy the fabulous Texas Hill Country with its spectacular scenery. Bird watching, biking, hiking, and hunting are popular in this area. The scenic and quiet roads through the hill country are ideal for long drives by car or motorcycle. Search the web for (the twisted sisters, Hill Country) \*This house is located in Montell, TX, 30 minutes from Uvalde, 10 from Campwood, and about 2 hours from San Antonio. In this area AT&T cell service works well, I have been told Verizon doesn\`t, so you might want to check about service in the area before you come if you don\`t have AT&T. \~ Accommodates 8 adults and 2 children\~ \~ Master Bedroom\~ 1 king bed futon bed \~Upstairs loft\~ twin bunk bed twin bed \~guest house\~ only a short walk from the house 1 full bed 1 twin bed \~ 3 full bathrooms\~ 1 for each room \~kitchen\~ large fully equipped kitchen with sink, microwave, stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge, and dining table for 6 \~living room\~ 2 conformable sofas 1 tv \~outside \~ fire pit barbecue pit(wood/charcoal) outside sink outside chairs picnic table swingset Renter Responsibilities During your stay: DO NOT BRING MORE PEOPLE THAN ALLOWED IN YOUR UNIT OR YOU SAID WERE COMING(Max 10 occupants, with a max of 8 adults); they will be asked to leave! If you plan on having any day visitors, you must get prior approval through email or text; if prior authorization is not received, they will not be allowed. Only up to 4 DAY visitors are permitted during your stay. Each visitor, no matter the age, will cost $25/person per day of visiting. Visiting hours are only from 8 am - 8 pm. We have the right to refuse or remove any visitors at any time! The list of NOs:—No parking on the grass, No ATVs, No Fireworks, No pets, No smoking inside(if you smoke outside, put all butts in the trash to avoid being charged), No littering, No loud music, No glass containers in or near the river, No discharge of firearms, No offensive language or behavior, Fires only in firepits and bbq pits. To reduce visits by insects and rodents, please wipe up food spills and store food and trash properly. At the end of your stay, to avoid being charged! \*wipe up any spills(charge will vary) \*wash and put away all dishes and utensils(Charge $35) \*Empty refrigerator of any food items(charge will vary) \*Pick up any items dropped in the yard (ex: trash including cigarette butts, broken water balloons, bottles, cans, etc.)(charge $35) \*Put all trash in garbage cans(charge $35) \*Put all used towels in the laundry room or bathroom. \*Turn off all lights and all air conditioning and heaters. TVs & Wi-Fi We do not have satellite service, but there are smart TVs, so you can log into your accounts and watch. Be sure to log off when you leave. DON\`T FORGET TO LOG OUT OF TV\`S The Wi-Fi is Rio Escondido, and the password is Dragonfly. Please report any damage or loss of property during your stay to Nathan so that the item can be replaced or repaired. Also, if you have any maintenance issues, please contact Nathan. We came with our family and friends and no one had a complaint. The dragonfly is where we stayed and it was perfect (I saw other reviews complaining the house was to hot but it wasnt, it stayed cool the entire time). I understand all the compliments in other reviews about Nathan the property manager, he treated us like we knew him and he was so sweet and helpful checking in daily. I was fishing and caught a cat fish and the house keepers were on the deck of the tree house cheering me on LOL they even came down to the water and chatted with us one day when they were cleaning next door. We had friends rent one of the cabins up the hill on the same property and we all cooked out together daily and used the dragon fly river access. The water was beautiful and clear with so many fish. Our cabin had all the pots and pans we needed for every meal, we started a fire in the pit nightly and never ran out of cut wood, there was plenty of towels blankets ect. All you need is food and family at this location. Very cool place to stay! River is only a few steps away, with easy access. House has everything you need inside with what i though were comfortable mattresses and for it being 100 plus degrees outside the window units did a good job at keeping it cool inside when it was time for a break from the heat and river. Outside it had plenty of room for kids to play and run around, firepit and BBQ pit are in good shape, house also has plenty of lighting outside if needed. The place was very well maintained and had no issues. It was nice being so close to the river and having easy access to it. Plenty of shade from all the trees as well. We loved it and are definitely coming back! Owner communicated with us to ensure we had what we needed to check-in. We rented the house for a family vacation and it was perfect for our number. The house is roomy and the outdoor area adds extra space. I would say there were three opportunities: the house needs a deep cleaning. The ceiling fan in the living room has about an inch of dust on it and my 1-year-old niece found popcorn on the ground the first day and put it in her mouth (we didn't have popcorn). Please get some curtains for the windows. The cheap blinds do nothing, and it's so bright in the house at night, that it's hard to fall asleep. The sun shines right into the house in the morning and you're up by 7am because it's so bright in the house. Lastly, the 2 window units for AC are not enough for the house. It's 100 degrees this summer, and it is so hot at night it's uncomfortable to sleep! We brought 2 box fans with us, thank goodness, but it still was HOT. We did have a great stay and would return, these are just a few opportunities we had while there. My wife and kids loved every bit of staying at this location. Was loads of fun and the host was awesome. The property manager was extremely nice and very welcoming.
