The Pacifica Inn is a special little place out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean where you can experience peacefulness and tranquility. Come and enjoy the beautiful Hapu’u trees that surround the property and the anthurium flowers dotted through out the property. Relax and enjoy the sounds of endemic birds and their melodies while the Coqui frogs sing at night. Consider staying in one of our rooms at The Pacifica Inn. The Pacifica Inn is located in the beautiful Mauna Loa Estates just one mile from the town of Volcano. In Volcano you will find restaurants and shops to enjoy during your stay. The Hawai’i National Park is only 5 minutes away. This makes the Pacifica Inn a perfect location after a long day of experiencing the best of what Hawaii has to offer. The Hilo International Airport is 40 minutes away and renting a vehicle is the best way for transportation around the Big Island. The Pacifica Inn is located in Volcano which is in a high altitude of 4,000 feet above sea level. Volcano is very tropical and rain can fall at anytime during the day or night. Temperatures can get cold at night so we highly recommend you pack warm clothes along with your swimsuits. Bring rain gear. One of our most popular rooms the Volcano Room. It is a beautiful large upstairs studio apartment that has 1 Cal King and 1 Twin bed that will comfortably sleep 1-3 guest(s). We also have one cot with mattress that is available. Please request the cot to your host. With cot sleeps 1-4 guests. Enjoy the beautiful scenery through the large wall surrounded windows with a view of the lush jungle treetops and ferns. With this room feature offering a beautiful view of the rainforest it makes this one of our more popular rooms. This apartment studio features a little entertainment area with a smart TV and a dining area (seats 4) that can serve as a workspace. On cold nights, there is a fuzzy blanket and a fireplace to keep your toes nice and warm. \* The water is NOT CONSUMABLE and we recommend guests bring their own drinking water during their stay. This will include the parking area, driveway, forested yard, and trail. \*The hot tub is currently off limits to all guests until further notice. The king mattress is very comfortable. Both mattresses were less than I was hoping forThe bathroom seemed OK until I discovered that the toilet seat had a broken hinge and would slide around unless you were very careful. The manager seemed to be aware of this as she later asked me if her handy person could come in at some time and fix it and yet there was no warning given to us ahead of time. I am 76 years old and it easily could have been a much worse situation.I asked to be at least partially reimbursed and received no response. Outside and thru the windows, I loved the numerous anthurim plants in bloom and the unfurling fern palms.The Coqui frog calls in the evening were so unique and helped us fall asleep. Jennifer was quick with responses and checking in with us for what we need. Very nice. Just as warned, definitely bring your drinking and cooking water. Always use caution with gas stoves. For a longer stay I would have to address allergenic issues… but considering we were in a rainforest environment…it was expected.I brought what I needed. Very cozy feel, great shower!
