I have stayed in a lot of hotels in my travels but this one was pretty much the best. The staff was unbelievably friendly, helpful and made the best damn cookies that are laid out for ya. Breakfast was done right. Everything was fresh, not large amounts getting cold as it sat waiting for you to eat it. The rooms had no weird hotel smell, immaculately cleaned and the hallways were the same. Parking was perfect.
Friendly staff, clean, convenient. Right downtown so walkable distance to dining & shopping.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
We were greeted with a smile and even given a freshly-baked cookie! This place was very clean, from the front area to our room. The beds and pillows were comfy, and there were no outside noises to disrupt our sleep. We woke up, walked down the hall, and enjoyed a nice free continental breakfast and some very good coffee. We will definitely be staying here again!
This is an ok hotel in downtown, right on "main street" a couple of blocks from the river. The location is convenient and the access and parking are convenient. Our room was larger than expected. Plan to go out for breakfast - this hotel is not serious about breakfast. A few greasy slabs of sausage, a pile of sloppy scrambled eggs, no fruit, no whole grain bread, and some sugary stuff. Yuck. Otherwise, a basic good-enough hotel. If you plan to ride the Rolling Prairie Rail Trail (recommended), direct access is just a block away.
Good variety for a hotel breakfast. The room was clean. Service was good.

I've stayed at this property a handful of times now and my experience has always been very positive. This time around was a bit different. Not horrible, but not as good. They must have had some sort of climate control issues because the humidity in the building was REALLY bad. They did have dehumidifiers on every floor but the rooms were damp, noticeably damp. The carpets, the bedding. I know it wasn't just our room because other guests were commenting about the same issues. Everything was visibly clean but it didn't feel clean because of how wet everything felt. We had a 2 night stay and considered leaving before the second night to go somewhere else because sleeping was like being in a damp tent. I realize it may be a situation out of the staffs immediate control because of how humid it has been. However, it wasn't damp feeling in virtually any of the other indoor spaces we visited while there. Just a little disappointing. This hotel is go to place for my visits to Waverly. I'm hoping I dont need to change that because its so conveniently located. I definitely dont want to repeat this last experience.
Maybe the best beds we’ve ever slept in! We will definitely select this property when we return to town. Thank you to the staff for a great experience.
