For those who enjoy a stroll, Whitby is an hours walk away. You will stay in a airy bright and recently converted self contained studio which has it's own entrance and is part of a large Victorian Villa. Please be aware that there are steps leading down into the garden where the entrance is situated (may not be suitable for guests who have limited mobility). Guests will enjoy the privacy of the Hideaway with their own outside seating area. They can relax on the luxury Simba mattress that promises a good nights rest after a busy day. The space Hillgarth House is named as it is a 'house on a hill'. As such Hillgarth Hideaway is approached down a set of steps into the well lit garden of the house. The Hideaway has it's own front door which is entered from the back garden. There is a key safe to make it easier for our guests. Our aim is to provide our guests with fresh, airy, clean, stylish comfort. The kitchen is fully fitted with a full Bosch oven and hob. Lovely, clean, comfortable. Has everything you need. We didn't spend much time here as we were out and about exploring. The location is perfect. There is a train station at the end of the road, so easy to get into Whitby to save the hassle of parking. And a really good bus service, which we used on the way back. The hosts are charming and we spoke to Sarena quite a bit during our 3 nights there, she was so knowledgeable about the surrounding area & even took the trouble to draw maps and directions for walks nearby that we intended on doing. This accommodation is located a stones throw from Whitby and surrounding areas. The check in process is easy with a key safe on the wall & dedicated parking, plus plenty of free on road parking if you have more than one vehicle. Hosts Sarena & Clive have made this place so welcoming and have provided complimentary tea & coffee, fresh milk in the fridge, and fresh biscuits from the local bakery in the village. It is spotlessly clean throughout, decorated & finished to a very high standard with everything you could ever need. It is so cosy & quiet to relax and have a great nights sleep. This is such a lovely place to stay and we will definitely be returning here when we are visiting Whitby again. We were made to feel so welcome by Clive and Sarena. The check in process was easy, and the facilities were perfect. There was plenty to do in the local area, with the centre of Whitby only being a 5-10 minute drive down the road. The information in the welcome guide was super helpful and gave us ideas of more places to visit. The local area was really nice with plenty of places to walk to. We really enjoyed and would definitely recommend.
