Andon Ryokan

10/10 Excellent

"Great ryokan, very comfortable. Very helpful staff, great breakfast. It was quite warm in the room even with the ac but we still enjoyed our stay."

Randor Residence Tokyo Suites

8/10 Good

"This was a convenient and reasonably priced location for hosting my larger, mixed-friends group (5 people) for our two week stay. We had a room with four single Western style beds and a tatami mat room with several futon. The 7/11 across the street and closeness to several bus routes and the Chiyoda line made sightseeing all around the city (especially Northern Tokyo) very accessible. While no breakfast is included, the Denny's above Machiya station set half my group up well for the start of each day, while the kitchennette was also useful for the other half of my group. Towels and trash were replaced daily if left outside the door before 10AM; no other cleaning is offered during the stay. It would have been better if guests might be able to borrow some cleaning products or tools (e.g. broom, vacuum, all purpose cleaner) to utilize during stays longer than a couple of days, however the 7/11 is also right there. For the price and convenience, would absolutely recommend and stay again on future trips with friends or family. Thank you Randor staff!"

APA Hotel Ayase Ekimae

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel was probably one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in awhile. And the area was amazing. Right next to a train station to get wherever you need. A convenience store right next door plus several food options nearby for a light early morning breakfast or coffee. The area was also quiet which was pleasant. I also highly recommend exploring the area a bit nearby, I found several nice small restaurants to eat at that were good."

Kangaroo Hotel SIDE B

8/10 Good

"Great place if you’re mainly looking for somewhere to sleep while exploring Tokyo all day. The location is perfect, with plenty of bus stops nearby, making it easy to get around. The property is clean and comfortable. The front desk has limited hours, which wasn’t an issue for me, but if you have any questions, make sure to ask during their available hours. The only downside was the limited number of outlets in the room, which made it a little difficult to charge multiple devices. Overall, a great option if you have a busy itinerary and plan to spend most of your time out exploring!"

Toyoko Inn Yashio Ekimae

10/10 Excellent

"We stayed here for two weeks, and it was a wonderful experience! The staff was great, and the breakfast was delicious. We also used the laundry facilities a few times, which was very convenient. The dryers did take a couple of cycles to fully dry our clothes, but other than that, we had no issues. I really loved the location. It was close to a train station and a shopping mall, and there was also a 7-Eleven nearby, which was very convenient. The rooms were great and comfortable for our family. I stayed here with my husband and our two teenage kids, and we had no complaints. We would definitely stay here again!"

Asakusa Fukudaya

10/10 Excellent

"Solo traveling woman, USA, I had an amazing experience! I'm practicing Japanese and the employees were incredibly patient and kind when speaking and allowing me to try to speak as well! I did not feel any condescending or rude behavior and everyone was very hospitable! I also felt very safe here in the neighborhood is very quiet and, although slightly out of the way, preferred since I didn't hear much noise or have many issues with lots of people coming in and out. The place is old but very traditional and enjoyable to stay in! It came with a yukata which was super cute and fun to wear!! They provided all of the amenities I needed and the bath was so comfortable! There was no women staying at the same time as me. So during the bath time I got it all to myself~ at first it was a bit awkward going downstairs in my yukata to shower and bathe, but after the first day I got very used to it! There isn't a laundry in the hotel but there's one super close by and the walk was super easy and lots of vending machines on the way! The staff doesn't speak much English but I was totally fine with that and honestly it was preferred! They seemed to be able to speak enough if needed though~ as a solo traveling woman, I highly suggest this spot~ It was my very first time traveling solo as well!"
