Narrow roads down country lanes so slightly isolated lovely cosy room and breakfast was excellent especially the poached eggs. Stayed there as going to a wedding in the area

Had fun in the pool and the place was really relaxing.

Every member of staff we met was very welcoming, friendly and professional. The room was very well equipped and the breakfast excellent. The special 6 course dinner was very much appreciated. The one concern, in view of the prevailing heatwave conditions, was that the room and especially the en suite was uncomfortably hot and cooled just a little by the fans provided. Air conditioning would have been very welcome!

We came to Torquay for a wedding and just needed somewhere to sleep for 2 nights. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by Charlie who couldn't be more helpful. The room was beautifully decorated with everything we could need and more. Lovely touches of bottles of water, biscuits, a flask of milk. Even cotton pads were provided. We were given a menu for the breakfast which was delicious and again nothing was too much trouble. I highly recommend the homemade granola! Thank you Julie-Ann and Charlie for a lovely stay! X

A completely 5-star experience. Every member of staff was friendly, cheerful and helpful. Valet parking as standard, slick and efficient reception, immaculate room which was serviced at least twice per day, beautiful pool, steam room and sauna. The grounds were immaculate and a joy to explore. Both restaurants served top class meals. Total luxury from end to end. That all comes with a sizeable price tag, and service charge on everything, but the experience is worth every penny. We personally recommend booking early for the restaurants and Spa treatments, you can do this way in advance of your visit. We treated ourselves to a massage at the Elan Spa and it was professional and very relaxing. Highly recommend.

Incredible 18th Manor with vineyard and park. A wonderful surprise

Perfect location for another of our short Theatre stays in Sidmouth, we had a great stopover which also included a dip in the sea just over the road from the hotel. Our room was perfect, (we have stayed in this room previously) lovely large comfy bed, super clean and equipped bathroom, shower pressure was a little low maybe due to the weather not sure, however all perfect for our stay and once again the staff were lovely and very helpful. Stayed for 3 nights. Lovely rooms separate from the restaurant. Rooms were spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds; a daily replenished supply of coffee; tea; biscuits; water etc. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food superb.
