I have stayed at the Serena several times over the past 20 years. In fact, of the 80 countries I have visited the Serena in Mombasa is still my favorite place in the world. The staff, including front dest staff (namely, Althuman) and the wait staff are outstanding. Many are long-term staff who have obviously been well-trained in customer service. The Maisha Spa is always worth a visit. The property is beginning to show signs of aging so I hope there are plans to upgrade it, while not loosing its Swahili Coast charm. I have been a fan for a long time and will be back again!

The Kempinski was fantastic! The service from the staff was wonderful. The room was updated and had lots of space. The breakfast buffet was 10000/10. The gym had everything you need, and I got the best massage ever at the spa. I definitely recommend staying at the Kempinski when in Nairobi!
