The property was not maintained and under a lot of construction. A lot of the spaces advertised were not accessible. The food and drink was very expensive considering the property condition.

Gustavo at the elite checkin was very combative when we were checking in because my brother in law and his son needed two double beds and had sent an email confirming that and he would not allow late check out even though the website stated so he tried to up charge a better room but at that point we were worn down from travel. We have been going to riu for years and this interaction was not even pleasant

I really liked this hotel and the comfort it provides is unmatched. Every one of the staff members is really attentive and nice. The only reason I’m giving it 4 starts instead of 5 is the food. Out of all the restaurants around this hotel, just one met my expectations.

This hotel is gorgeous! The beach & view were stunning & lots going on in the area. Our room couldn’t have been better. I have stayed all over the world & have never had a friendlier or more accommodating staff. They went out of their way to make sure all of our needs were met. They even helped us with transportation & outside excursions. Luis at the front desk was especially helpful & always had a smile! The food was great too.. breakfast, dinner, margaritas… everything! I can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay was here. I just wish we could have stayed longer.
