Great cosy feel place to stay. Staff and service were really good, and food (breakfast and dinner) was fabulous. Restaurant staff were attentive, polite and ran the whole show with military precision, well done! Only downside, we were in room 2 and next door (room 3?) had their TV on at night which felt like it was in our room, so walls perhaps quite thin, as we could hear it all. Other than that great place with easy parking too.

Regrettably our room number 6. Did not smell nice. It had the smell of old wet trainers. We did mention it and a room diffuser was turned on. Some of the fixtures and fitting were falling apart. The shower was head was not appropriate for the size of the shower causing flooding. The staff were lovely and theroom was clean.

The staff were great - friendly and welcoming. The room was on the small side but we were only there for one night, and it was clean and comfortable (and the view of the hills was lovely). There was a large fan provided, which was very welcome given the heatwave that was taking place that week, We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. A perfect place for an overnight in the Lakes.
