This home was ideally situated within walking distance of the Iditarod. The home may look a bit dated on the outside, but don’t be up fooled, everything inside has been updated beautifully and artfully. The kitchen is state of the art and three bedrooms-three baths were perfect for three couples. The beds were comfortable, home was spotless, well appointed, warm and cozy. Even in 4° and windy conditions the windows were tight and draft-free. Everything you could possibly need is provided, including off-street parking. Beau was an attentive host. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks, Beau. Winter in Alaska may scare folks away, but we were awe-struck by its beauty and think it’s Alaska’s best kept secret. ##### Susan M. Kitchen is well equipped - note coffee is not stocked, but they do have sugar and whatever leftovers previous guests have left. The LR areas are a bit small but worked for our family of 4\. The first impression pulling up to the home isn't great, but the neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. Having 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms is very nice! Hot water is almost immediate, shower pressure was good. My husband and I stayed in the downstairs bedroom and did not like the bed. It was very firm and moved with any movements in the bed like turning over, getting out, etc. It was not restful. I should've paid closer attention to the bed types in the photos.
