"Nothing special about this resort, it seems to be mainly for Chinese tourist groups. We were the only two European tourists staying there and it was eerily quiet after breakfast when the Chinese groups had left. Hotel was quite old and run down, not renovated for a while. Staff was friendly but did not speak very good English, we got everything settled anyway and they did their best. Food and the drinks in the hotel restaurant were delicious. "What a hotel. What lovely staff. They were incredibly hospitable and the hotel is just honestly breathtaking. My partner emailed ahead with details of our trip and we were so fortunate enough to get an upgrade. My one complaint is the triple priced drinks vs. outside the hotel + service. I totally get one or the other. "

Staff was super friendly and helpful and arranged two tours through them with an incredible private driver who took us all over northern Thailand.
