"We were disappointed that our room was not cleaned on the first day or our stay. Other than that, the manager was helpful once called when we discovered that two of the lamps were not working, and that the door in the first room we were put in did not lock properly. So, he moved us to another room. The hotel was convenient located to where we needed to go. However, the hotel could use some improvements."

"Hometown Inn is a wonderful budget hotel nestled in the hills as you enter Athens. It is not far from the campus/Court Street but due to its location being near the highway, my friend and I took Ubers too and fro without issue. The beds were very comfortable, they have cold AC and the facilities were up-to-date. The man at the desk (I assume also the owner) was kind and helpful during check-in and check-out. The only issue was that the doors and trip along the floors were pretty dirty, BUT everything else was perfectly clean! I think maybe the housecleaning people missed those spots while going through everywhere else. All-in-all, very worth the price! I would stay here again."

"The room and hotel were nice, but was given the wrong room keys and check in link. Trying to get a hold of someone to fix the issue was painful. Maintenance was the only person helpful and willing to make contact outside of texting in the app. The positive rating are for him."
