This is an older property but it is well maintained for the most part. Essentials all good. Hot shower, clean, and friendly staff/owners. Wonderful location. Basic breakfast was ok but wasn't resupplied. Almost gone by 8.30 and no one working in area or office.

The property is very old. It was updated at some point, but is going downhill once again. There is no staff in the office at any time. The desk has a phone number to call if you want to talk to someone. It has a great location in the middle of town. The property is overpriced for what you get.

The room was clean, the beds are very comfortable and they have 3 pillows on each bed with varying degrees of firmness/thickness. That is a very nice touch. The shower head kind of sucked, which to me is the second most important aspect in a room to me. The hotel was very quiet and the area is nice (expensive, lots of rich people around).

I was very impressed by the updates to the property. The room was very clean and up to date. However I was disappointed that there was only 1 tv in the unit which did not allow to watch television while in bed. And the a/c unit was a window unit located in the bedroom which you had to make sure the adjoining doors were open to allow cool air to flow into the main living room.

This motel has so much potential but just falls extremely flat… you can tell that it’s a recently “remodeled” motel that they’ve given a fresh coat of paint and tried to upgrade, but it was not good. So many things were NOT good. To begin with, I’ll start with the main things I care most about when I stay anywhere- a comfortable bed, a good shower, and last but not least a working tv. Being in Basalt, most of the people who stay here are going to be hikers. We want a good shower. This place upgraded their toilets to a fancy, heated seat and auto flushing Japanese style toilet but left the old original shower and SHOWER HEAD!! It took me almost 20 minutes to even attempt to wash my hair bc there was such minimal water coming out. No one needs a fancy toilet but we do need a working shower head that’s not from the 90s. And the bed. The bed was rock hard with paper thin pillows. I didn’t sleep a wink. Literally not a wink. Something Important to me but maybe not to everyone, the tv. The TV was in the “lounge” type area and it didn’t work. You can’t watch any apps or even normal cable. The miniature couch they had was so uncomfortable and stiff so we literally got our laptop out and watched a movie in bed. Trust me when I say- I’m happy to car camp. I’m not boujee. But if I’m going to pay almost $300, I at least want the staples to be really nice.
