"I was not familiar with this resort when my husband and I were looking for an overnight get-a-way. We were there in the off season, which suited us just fine. There wasn't alot going on yet, but a couple of things stood out for us. The condition of the walls in our room needed some help, as there was some peeling wallpaper and damage to the walls. However, I will say that the resort staff was very friendly and attentive. We also liked the breakfast that was provided from the little cafe. ...

"This almost didn't happen because there was a storm that took the power out. But, fortunately, the power was on and we were able to have 2 nights there. It has so much character. It was clean and located close to the New River Gorge for us to commute back and forth. Tiffany was wonderful to communicate with us and she and Kevin gave a quick history lesson of the place."

"This stay was for our 10th anniversary. The cabin was fantastic. We loved the hot tub and the privacy. We had an issue where VRBO didn’t send us the the cabin number and correct code. We ended up arriving at 2am due an emergency delay in our trip. We contacted VRBO and they contacted our host. We felt bad for waking him at 2am, but he was able to give us the information we needed. We stayed 3 nights. We hope to come back this summer to explore some of the activities that haven’t opened yet for...

"Very very nice- appreciate hot tub ready for every day- toilet paper and paper towel soap etc already available was real nice- consider a box of Kleenex would be a nice touch but that is not a complaint- directions on the fireplace would be nice unless it’s not meant to be used- thanks for being a very nice part of our beautiful trip"

"Wow! What a great deal this place was! We decided to take a chance, because the price was so low. This hotel did not disappoint! The main thing that impressed me was that everything was spotless. Our room was extremely clean. Woman at front desk ensured that we got a room near the pool, when we mentioned we were going to swim. Very friendly and helpful.The pool is tiny, but sparkling clean. There were menus up front, and we ordered Chinese food delivered. If you're traveling this week and the price is still low, don't miss this one!"
