"We were very happy with the whole place, inside and out. There is plenty of sleeping, we had 8 adults and 5 children from the ages of 2 to 15. Lots of things to do inside and outside. After staying with all the kids at quite a few cabins over the years this is one of our favorites. When I had to get in touch with the owners about a couple of things they answered in a timely manner and were very helpful."

"Kitchen is well-equipped with a griddle, pots, pans, dishes, etc. WiFi is good, although you won't be looking at your devices! The best time of day, in my opinion, is early morning. Lots of birds (loons, pelicans, etc.). An evening at the fire pit, fishing off the dock, kayaks, paddlle boards, and plenty of space for a large group. The Runestone Museum is nearby and well worth a trip to Alexandria (20 min); in fact, this is a great little town!"

"We came up with my extended family (14 of us) to celebrate my parents’ 50th anniversary. The home was STUNNING and there was plenty of room to sleep, eat (indoor dining table and outdoor patio tables seat 16), and hang out. There are coffee makers everywhere too, which my family loved. We quite enjoyed taking out the paddle boat, kayaks, and paddle boards (plenty of life jackets too). The water is shallow for quite a ways out which made swimming easy … and our hosts also graciously provided us a sand bag to anchor their lily pad down about 100m out so the kids could play on it. Anything we needed showed up at the front door in minutes. We roasted s’mores at the huge fire pit and the kids played a lot of spike ball. Outside of the VRBO, we enjoyed great dinners at Lure and Pike & Pint, played Best Ball golf at the Lake Miltona golf club, and rented a pontoon for a day from Lake Darling (connected to a few other lakes). Lots to do! We will DEFINITELY rent from Mark and his fiancée again! "

"It's a nice property in a quite and peaceful setting. We had two adult couples, and found that there was room for all of us. The folding table leafs in the family room and kitchen were a nice addition for utilizing space. Since we were meeting friends at another lake property while in town, we didn't take advantage of the lake front features."
