Before you pack up the car and head for the mountains, know that when we say mountains, we really mean it!

Downtown Bryson City has an elevation of 1,752 feet, so think of this as a starting point. The majority of our cabins will have a higher elevation than this. This means that our roads- both state and private- will be steeper, narrower, and curvier than you may be use to driving. Also, you should expect to encounter gravel roads. Consider it part of our rural mountain charm!

Here at Yellow Rose, your safety is our priority. If a cabin requires 4 wheel, front wheel, or all wheel drive to access it, it will be listed in the description. If bringing or riding motorcycles, please call and ask for motorcycle friendly properties. If you have any concerns about accessing your rental, please call prior to your arrival and we will be happy to discuss it with you.

Overall great!
Great place for the price. Honestly the only complaint is that the cabin does not maintain heat that well. Honestly not that big of a deal. It was overall a pleasant experience.

Wonderful tiny cabin
Overall this was a perfect getaway for us! Two adults, wondering what the “tiny house” lifestyle is all about. The cabin is beautiful, lots of windows and natural light, lovely tall ceilings, and beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed exploring Bryson City, and loved the 30 minute drive into the Smokies. We have already started planning a return trip, this time encouraging friends to come along and rent the cabin next door! All linens were provided, plenty of cleaning supplies, and kitchen was equipped decently (could use a cutting board though). One kitchen gripe: preground coffee is provided, but the only machine is a single serve keurig with no reusable filter cup. So no way to use the provided coffee. They did provide 2 K-cups, but we were there two mornings so that wouldn’t have gone very far for 2 coffee-loving adults. Thankfully we brought our own instant coffee. As mentioned in a previous review- the mattresses are VERY FIRM. My husband and I enjoyed it as we like a firm mattress. If you don’t like a firm mattress… you will probably be uncomfortable. We also ended up unplugging the TV at night because it kept turning itself on.

Honest review
Loved the location of it and loved the view. But my main complaint is the master bed. It sucked. Like terribly like my fiancé slept on the futon because it was better than the mattress. It was horrendously bad to lay on, the kitchen was okay but there wasn’t any counter space which I understand because of the size but a sink cover for extra space would’ve been nice. Couldn’t see the tv from the couch so we had to turn it to be able to see it from the couch. But the main complaint is the beds comfortability. I doubt we’d stay here again because of the bedrooms mattress. It was a lovely location, had a great weekend there except for laying down to sleep. And the stream that’s advertised is little more than a drainage ditch. I was expecting a creek or something that was at least deep enough to consider playing in. Not something that is so small you can miss it if you aren’t looking for it. The fire ring was a very nice addition and had fun roasting s’mores and hot dogs over it. But very much enjoyed it 2/3s of the time but the other third of the time was miserable sleeping on what felt like a concrete slab. But everything there worked great. Ac kicked, shower was hot, stove worked but had a strange smell to it when I cooked some garlic bread in it. Thankfully it didn’t ruin the food but the smell was almost horrendous. Also there was only one trash bag. Thankfully we managed to fit all our trash in the one bag but if we would’ve had another person or two with us the one bag wouldn’t have been enough. Also couldn’t figure out the tv, couldn’t figure out how to find the shows I wanted also hit my head multiple times when I woke up at night to use the bathroom and even during the day time. The bunk beds were okay, ended up using them as shelves for our groceries. And also small nitpick but wish there would’ve been a TV on the wall in the bedroom where the coaxial cable plug in was.
