On a private lane, this renovated home is perched high in the foothills of Carpinteria with irresistible views, modern coastal elegance, and an indescribable sense of serenity, from sunrise to sunset.

Ascend the outside stairs from the driveway to the welcoming main level entry and great room. Luxurious and comfortable design elements in cool colors of sand and surf penetrate each and every space. A unique wall of windows and wide sliding doors span the length of the living room and truly amplifies the ocean and island views.

The wrap-around south-facing deck with the glass enclosure offers a seamless panorama that will draw one's attention nearly every hour of the day. Merely step out onto this suspended veranda to appreciate the vast unobstructed vistas that span from east to west, creating a calm and captivating mood.

Curated art and one-of-a-kind sculptures take center stage in the living room with two separate seating areas, a fireplace, and flat-screen television. The large dining table in the center of the great room seats eight comfortably, with ambient lighting overhead. There is also an open office area for those working from home to enjoy with ocean views and deck access when it's time for a break!

The masterfully designed kitchen is perfectly suited for both elegant or casual affairs. Two granite islands offer enormous workspaces with three sinks, a walk-in pantry, a six-burner gas range with griddle, and a large capacity refrigerator. For the grill master or creative cook, there is easy access from the kitchen to the back dining deck with a barbecue, and raised garden beds offer seasonal veggies and herbs. [Not pictured: An outdoor dining table for six and four Adirondack chairs will be on the deck soon!]

Also on this main level are the master suite and two distinguished guest bedrooms. True-to-form in a home of this caliber, the master suite is a spacious sanctuary with enormous volume ceilings, a king-size bed, television, and sliding doors that open to the east terrace off the kitchen. The luxurious bathroom offers a spectacular soaking tub, shower, and walk-in closet. Two guest rooms share a "Jack and Jill" bathroom with a glass shower. The larger of the two rooms offer a king-size bed and television, whereas the other has a queen-size Sleep Number bed. A laundry room and powder room complete the floor plan of this main level.

A modern and unique glass railing surrounds the stairs that lead to the lower level, where a private suite offers a king-size bed, swivel seating, television, desk, and a private entrance off the driveway. It is important to note that this suite does not directly connect to the upstairs as access is through the two-car garage. This is a restful place with ultimate privacy.

Surrounding the property are lush hillsides where native plantings and the pink and purple hues of sunset dot the landscape. The City of Carpinteria, Summerland, Montecito, and Santa Barbara are all just a short drive making a day at the beach convenient and close by. There are plenty of restaurants, shops, and artisan breweries and wineries to enjoy. Stroll down Linden Avenue in Carpinteria on Thursday afternoons when the Certified Farmer's Market is in full swing, grab some tasty treats along the way, and end the day with a twilight picnic on the wide, white sandy beach.
