I booked a Deluxe suite which was supposed to have a double bed in a separate bedroom and a single bed in the main/living room. I booked this suite (paying a premium of about 50 euros over a normal double room) to give my partner and I the freedom to stretch out in the larger area of a suite. When we arrived at the room, the double bed was prepared with sheets, etc., but the single bed was not. We arrive too late to do anything about it, so the next morning I inquired about it at the front desk. I was told that for two people, only the double bed would be prepared. If I wished the single bed to be prepared, it would cost an additional 50 euros. I strongly object to this because the room was advertised as having both a double and single bed. There was no mention of what would occur if only two people booked the room. Moreover, the single bed was bare and unusable as even a couch (see picture). So, the main/living room of this suite was essentially unusable. Why would two people book this suite and pay extra when it provides no additional value? In short, I believe this was deceptive advertising.
This deluxe suite should have a complete single bed or sofa bed along with a table and lamps in order to make the space usable. Most hotels would also have the sofa bed prepared with sheets, etc. in case it needs to be used by the occupants. This is what should be provided to make up for the additional cost of the suite. I will not stay here again.
