Bunchrew House Hotel was one of the highlights of our stay in Inverness. The property has a beautiful historic character, with a quiet setting right on the water that makes it feel peaceful and removed while still being close enough to Inverness to explore easily. The grounds are scenic, the views over the Beauly Firth are excellent, and the building itself has a lot of charm without feeling overly formal.
The staff were welcoming and attentive throughout our visit, which made the stay feel personal rather than transactional. Our room was comfortable, clean, and full of old-world character, with the kind of atmosphere you hope for when booking a historic Scottish hotel. The common areas were also lovely, especially for relaxing in the evening after a day of sightseeing.
Breakfast and dining were both enjoyable, with good service and a pleasant setting. What stood out most was the overall atmosphere: quiet, scenic, traditional, and genuinely memorable. It felt like a proper Highland hotel experience rather than a generic stay.
I would definitely recommend Bunchrew House Hotel to anyone visiting Inverness who wants something with character, history, and a beautiful waterside location. It is especially well suited for couples, quiet getaways, or travelers who want a more atmospheric stay than a standard city hotel.
