4 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, Sleeps 8
If you appreciate breath-taking views, affordability, combined with lots of fun things to do nearby, then you’ve come to the right place.
Location is everything! We are just 10-15 minutes away from downtown Bryson City and 20 minutes to the entrance of the Smoky Mountains. Nearby activities include tubing, fly fishing, hiking, shopping, zip lining, white water rafting and so much more.
This home was built in 2017 and offers luxury, convenience, and amazing views of the smoky mountains including Clingmans Dome and the Road to Nowhere. Each season offers a different viewing experience. In springtime, everything is in bloom. The color green is vibrant. Late summer the view can change by the minute. You get the rolling clouds coming along the Tuckaseegee river and rising between the mountains. In fact, this can occur any time during the year. Absolutely breathtaking (photos can’t do it justice). Next, there is fall. An abundance of color. Winter-time is just as beautiful. The cloak of leaves has been removed and you can see things you could never see before. There is peace and tranquility. No matter what time of year you choose, be sure to relax and unwind on one of several decks and enjoy the park like views.
The inside of the home is tastefully decorated. Large pirouettes windows across the front of the home for viewing the long-range mountain views. This spacious home is great for a large family or a multi-family get together. To get a view that Lookout Lodge offers you do have to drive up a “mountain road” but no worries, this road is completely paved. Access to the cabin is on a paved road that cars and motorcycles can easily navigate.
There is plenty of room for everyone. This home is over 2,800 sq ft. There are 4 bedrooms that sleep a total of 8 people. If you have more people, you can rent the log cabin adjacent to this called Lookout Lodge II. It has the same amazing views and can also accommodate 8 people.
Bedrooms:
Master bedroom has a king-sized bed, gas fireplace, 50 inch TV, floor to ceiling windows, private bathroom including double sinks, a shower and a skylight. Tons of natural light throughout. Second bedroom has a king-sized bed and its own private balcony to relax and enjoy the spectacular mountain views. Third bedroom has a large walk-in closet and two double beds. Fourth bedroom is located on main floor and has a queen-sized bed.
The main floor includes a living room with 50 inch TV, gas fireplace, separate hang out room, kitchen and laundry room.
Outside is a firepit where on a clear night you will be amazed at how bright the stars are.
We hope you will enjoy this home as much as our family does. My favorite adventure is white water rafting at NOC, my sons favorite thing is horseback riding and my husbands is relaxing with a cold drink on the back porch. There is something for everyone from the smoky mountain train ride to the waterfalls at Deep Creek.
Hope to see you soon!

Before you pack up the car and head for the mountains, know that when we say mountains, we really mean it!
Downtown Bryson City has an elevation of 1,752 feet, so think of this as a starting point. The majority of our cabins will have a higher elevation than this. This means that our roads- both state and private- will be steeper, narrower, and curvier than you may be use to driving. Also, you should expect to encounter gravel roads. Here at Yellow Rose, your safety is our priority. If a cabin requires 4 wheel, front wheel, or all wheel drive to access it, it will be listed in the description. If bringing or riding motorcycles, please call and ask for motorcycle friendly properties.

Couldn’t get to our cabin due to icy road.
Due to the road being icy we couldn’t drive up to our cabin and there was another car stuck on road leading to our cabin. Just keep in mind there is a chance you may not be able to stay at the cabin you have booked if you are traveling in winter.

The home was awesome . A few things we could not find the remotes for the ceiling fans on the main floor . The ceiling fan on the porch was missing a blade . All not a big deal . There were a few other small things that could have been addressed .

Stunning Views pictures do it no justice
The views are forever changing! Not only are the views 10/10 but so is the house. We had plenty of room for 7 adult size people. The hot tub was perfect for all the rainy days, which there was several but it never damped our time. We loved going tubing and the tail of the dragon was a nice surprise when we first drove in! Absolutely would stay again and recommend! Plenty of towels and cooking ware.Beds were uncomfortable but im a bed snob, with my sleep number. Stop looking and stay here! Its worth the single/shared lane up to the house.

Beautiful property
I must admit, after reading some of the reviews I was a bit concerned about this property. However, we had no issues at all. The home is well maintained and stocked. The water was clean and we never ran out of hot water with our group of 7. The only minor issue we noticed was that although the home listing says No Pets, someone obviously brought a dog. There was dog hair in some of the rugs and a strong wet dog odor in the game room. We simply opened the windows to air it out but this may be an issue for someone with dog allergies. Otherwise it was a great stay!

Amazing View!
We had a wonderful stay here. The view of the mountains was breathtaking and that alone would make me stay here again. The house was beautiful and i loved the kitchen. The only down side to the kitchen was the cooking utensils we're not the best. Miss matched pots and pans that were falling apart and half them i had to wash before using becuase they seemed dirty. They rest of the house was clean and the beds were comfortable. I would stay here again

Didn't get to stay at lookout lodge as reserved
Received a call the morning we was to check in and was told that there was a water issue and we was moved to another house in another city. Not the same number of bedrooms, not the same view we paid for and nothing to do within 30 minutes like there was with the house originally rented. The house we got moved to was great but not what we booked, made plans around and looked forward to staying in.

Not satisfied
We did not get the home we rented. The home we rented was struck by lightening (Act of God, I get that) and we were relocated. We were told the relocation home had the same floor plan. I rented a luxury mountain view 4 bedroom home. We were relocated to the 3 bedroom home next door. Was it luxury? Nope. The home I rented had four bedrooms, the Master bed room had a fireplace, television, balcony and ensuite bathroom. The home I got did not have a master bedroom, it had a bedroom with a bed. The second bedroom in the house I rented had a balcony, in the home I got the second bedroom had a skylight. The house I rented had a main floor bedroom, the house I got did not. I specifically wanted a main floor bedroom for elderly mother, that has difficulty climbing stairs. The house I got had no main floor bedroom, rather had a basement level bedroom, that was so cold we could hardly use it even with a fire burning all night in the fireplace. There was a broken dining room chair (noted on previous reviews). When we looked for silverware it was sparse (only six forks) but we found more when we attempted to use the dishwasher. The dishwasher was full of dirty dishes and we had to use our one provided dishwasher pod to clean the dishes. Our first morning there was no water pressure. We called Yellow Rose and they came out and fixed it, the switch in the well needed replaced. (Another Act of God). Our second morning (and each morning after that) we attempted to take a shower and there was no hot water, the hot water tank had a faulty switch. After the 2nd service call from Yellow Rose we had the service guy show us where to flip the switch. Our plans each day were disrupted because we had to wait 2 hours for a hot shower. The furniture in the house we rented was adequate but for sure not the furniture pictured in the house we rented. And we definitely missed the extra room in the house we got opposed to the house we rented. Luxury home verses rustic home. Did not meet our expectations. The views were stunning. But the comfort was lacking. Upon arrival we noticed several windows were opened, making it very cold in the house, and there were numerous outdoor bugs in the house. Post rental, I expressed my dissatisfaction with two different people from Yellow Rose and was told that management would be giving me a call. Three days later, no such call. Our stay was far from ideal and probably will not stay with Yellow Rose again.
