“Nice room, with excellent bathroom. The outside needs tidying up and some painting, so we were initially concerned when we arrived, but the rooms were fine. Nice quiet location too. The cafe is shut due to staff illness, looks like has been for a while but the Two Flags cafe a mile down the road is excellent for all day breakfasts, especially if you like motorbikes.”

It’s as if a room from a very high end, boutique city hotel has been plucked out of a building and carefully placed down in beautiful, peaceful countryside. “great location on the edge of Oakham, easy walking to shops, cafes, pubs etc. Road parking was fine but the road is quite narrow with cars parked up both sides. lots of outdoor activities at Rutland water. Only 20 minute drive from the historic town of Stamford.plenty of hot water and house lovely and warm.”

“Breakfast is the problem. We were told that Sunday there is no breakfast, which is not written anywhere on the website; so we had to have - and pay for - breakfast somewhere else. Then, when we had breakfast the other days, we were asked to order the evening before (not written on Expedia as well) and what we were given was barely enough. We all had to spend extra money to reach a very minimum bearable breakfast - as we are people who were in Peterborough to work, not holiday.”
