"Having stayed here when my children were you I often take my minds eye back to the house when I’m having a stressful time at work. It’s a truly chilled place to retreat from the rigours of London and enjoy the scenery & wildlife . Bugs and all !"

Entering the walled village is like stepping back in time, and all the stresses of modern life seem to melt away as well. The apartment was perfectly situated on a small street with plenty of rentaurants nearby (as well as a tiny shop with fresh bread, cheese, and drinks). "We really enjoyed our stay here. In main because the pool area and pool house / kitchen are so nice. Very friendly and helpful host. The house is large and a little tired but the pool area made up for it. Some money needs to be spent in certain areas but I would definitely come back. Lots of history and an incredible vista from the pool. "

"Arrived on Sunday to find that no restaurant/chef available. We did not know this and could have been a problem had we not been able to get a curry delivered! The bar too was a bit of an issue, however, this was made available to us and dining Al Fresco with a beautiful view was accomplished. Very nice people and a stunning setting. We all had individual rooms/fires that were well prepared and provided the rest that was needed."
