"Nightmarish experience. I was traveling with a friend who wanted his own room. We booked this hotel at the last minute as it was close to the NP HQs. We arrived at 7 pm to find no front desk, just a bar area that was manned by a young lady who stated that we couldn’t stay as the owner had not been paid. Then the owner called stating that it was late so we could stay and that payment could be discussed in the morning. The hotel did not have wifi as advertised, there was no running or hot water...

"This is a delightful small hotel in Kinigi, close to the Gorilla Experience headquarters. The rooms are in spacious huts with a fire and hot water bottles provided at night as it gets quite cold. The staff are extremely polite and helpful, lighting fires in the lounge and dining room at sunset and with little portable fires for each table. The setting is rustic and charming with 4 star facilities and don’t forget the wonderful complimentary foot massage and shoe cleaning after the gorilla trek....

"Very friendly and helpful staff with a restaurant on-site and the historic hotel/hangout across the street. A bit far from the national park. No fan, AC or mosquito net in room. Luckily, I didn't need the latter. A bit worn around the edges, but relatively comfortable. "
