"Room was quiet, clean, comfortable, pleasant and well-equipped. The unattended checkin via key app was fantastic despite my initial reservations about how that would work out.
There were only two drawbacks. There were several flights of stairs to reach the room, which was in the attic. (This is something I would expect in an authentic inn like this one.) And I'm not yet a convert to the "entire bathroom as shower stall" design. I showered when I arrived there in the late afternoon, and by the morning the bathroom floor still had numerous little puddles on it, forcing me to dry it with my towel before I could use the toilet, sink and mirror. Were it my choice I would add a simple, easily washable shower curtain to the design.
Puddles and stairs aside, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Donegal House, wished I'd had another night or two there and intend to book it again in the future."
