7.0 out of 10, Good, (10)
"This place was horrible. A nightmare in China! I woke up with bed bugs and I saw cockroaches crawling in kitchen during dinner. I don’t know how ppl rate it so high. I guess it is good if you are looking for something very cheap, but you get what you pay for! You were warned. "

Peking International Youth Hostel

2.0 star property
Downtown Beijing
8.4 out of 10, Very Good, (28)
"I was very happy with my stay at Peking International Youth Hostel. The rooms were very comfortable, the hostel was very clean and the ladies at reception were very helpful. They assisted me with booking a driver for the Great Wall and were able to answer a few stupid questions for me. The hutong the hostel is located on is really popular so it's almost always bustling. Plenty of food and drink options on the main street but make sure you venture out into the side streets for less crowded...

Peking Station Youth Hostel

2.0 star property
Downtown Beijing
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (52)
"Advertised as a private room but was actually a dorm (same story reported by other travelers). Sheets instead of curtains. Told off for talking at 11pm. Noisy repairs underway from 7am. Floors never swept, tables sticky. Gave the property 3 days notice I would be leaving early but they still refused even a partial refund for the remaining nights, leaving me hundreds of dollars out of pocket. Absolute money grubbing. Stay away."
