"After a curious approach. The owner met us there and showed us around. It was a very quite, beautiful mountain apartment. Details outdoors were evident and comfort inside was great. "Cool comfortable house high in the hills. Lovely setting a mix of gardens, olive and cherry orchards and woodland. We breakfasted to the song of blackcaps with bee eaters, hoopoes and buzzards glimpsed in flight. We felt very close to wildlife. The best pool we have ever swumIn. Clear mountain air. Delightful Barga and other villages nearby. Good places to eat within 10 minites drive. Lovely hosts, nearby if we had a problem but discrete. Arrived with delicious homegrown cherries and courgettes. "

"The villa offered us everything we needed for an extended stay in beautiful Barga. The owners were lovely and provided us with everything we required. The pool area and views from the terrace in particular are stunning. We like to cook and we had pretty much everything we needed to be able to do as we liked. The sleeping areas are fine. Two things to keep in mind. There is no air conditioning so you need to be careful and use the shutters and windows to best effect. The second is the hill leading to the town centre. It takes 15 - 20 mins to walk there, all uphill. This wasn’t an issue for us but might be for some. All in all I would definitely recommend this villa."
