“This property is serene, beautiful, family friendly and a great place for a much needed retreat. Beautiful memories were built as our family had time to enjoy the amazing views, cooler weather and sounds of the sea. We spent most of the two full days packed with fun on the property alone (but go to the farmer's market on Saturday during the summer to buy Diane's fabulous clam chowder & Mike's amazing wooden figures). ”

“What a beautiful spot — both the well designed cabin and location on shark reef. The little beach was great for a cold dip. The deck was perfect for dinner and sunset cocktails. We saw whales twice cruising up San Juan channel. The cabin has everything you need and was so comfortable. Very relaxing spot. We will be back. ”

“While the property is peaceful and quiet, just minutes away there are so many fun, interesting things to do. We’ve stayed on several of the San Juan Islands, but San Juan Island itself is much more slow paced than most. The house has a beautiful, tranquil view, and the bed is extremely comfortable (and I am picky). “The house was amazing, and super comfortable. The drive in takes a little longer than you might expect, as it’s 10-15MPH on gravel roads. But once you get there, the views are amazing. It’s about 10 minutes from Eastsound, and very close to the park and Mt Constitution. ”

“We loved the view, spent lots of time watching wildlife from the porch. There is an accessible beach a short walk away, which was nice. Plenty of room inside, and very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again. ”

“We were debating if we wanted to pay extra for this vs a hotel, but it turned out to be so nice. It was very private, and had a great view of the shore (it looks sideways down the beach so you can't see out to sea, but can see water). No beach access though unfortunately. We stayed here on our honeymoon and it was the perfect size for us. It's within a 15-20 minute walk from downtown Friday harbor, which was nice because we couldn't always get an Uber in time for what we needed. We also saw……

“This property really checks all the boxes without any fluff. Great amenities, non-tacky decor, clean space, beautiful views, and a convenient location to walk into Eastsound as long as you're all right with the uphill hike back. “We love spending time as a family on Lopez Island and Rich and Amy’s place makes that possible. It’s more suited to families with children than 7 adults. Only one bedroom has a closet where it’s possible to hand clothes and one other has a dresser. We stayed 8 days living out of suitcases. “My husband, adult daughter and I spent a day and half at the “cozy cabin in the woods”. It was probably the cleanest VRBO I have ever rented. It was very convenient to town - we walked to dinner. We saw deer enjoying the garden next door and there is a small view of the water through the woods.
