"Thoroughly enjoyed my 24 hours here, every staff member was super friendly and helpful.. I came very unprepared forgetting my toothbrush & phone charger but they had both covered with a smile.. was really impressed with the food (3 ladies all really enjoyed our meals), spa was nice with pool, steam, sauna and jacuzzi / hydro pool. It’s all a little dated overall but you can use it for the rest of the day even after you check out! Rooms came with irons (always a bonus), tea / coffee & biscuits, the bed was really comfy. I thought the stay was really good value for money… loved it! "

"The food was excellent, delicious, the peppercorn sauce which accompanied my steak was sublime... and the chips.... moorishly fabulous. Breakfast, a full platter of everything, after home made granola compote.... set us up for the day. A super cosy comfortable bed, we slept, ate and rested well.... A wonderful team of staff looked after us, and our dog. We loved, .... loved our stay"

"Loveley size room but very dated. Bathroom was very shabby. Enjoyed sitting by the lake having a drink. Loverly hotel by the lake but in massive need of updating."

"A nice place to get away for a bit. Was a bit disappointed that my room overlooked the scrapyard and so it was noisy at times but other than that, it was just what I needed for a couple of days. Staff were friendly and willing to help when needed."

"Good size room, very comfy bed. Staff friendly but somewhat convoluted online check in. Water pressure was low but sufficient. Sadly no breakfast on offer currently as place is being refurbished. But in spite of the issues, I will be back when I'm in the area and see what it's like after the refurb is complete."

"It is good hotel but a little far from London. Little challenging to navigate the buses and trains to get to London. But the hotel itself was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Except the distance from London, I would recommend it!"

"This B&B is in a nice setting. Although it’s on the main road, it’s quite set back and the pub being just opposite this makes for a lovely combination. There is also a convenience store along the road if you wanted to get a morning newspaper etc. The room was very spacious which was nice. Just had to be careful of the beams. The only thing I didn’t enjoy personally was that the owner was quite headmistress like in terms of rules and what she wanted, which basically made us feel like kids being told off, which is not something I want when paying £118 for an overnight stay, but my partner says that perhaps B&Bs are not for me. Back to standard hotels I think…."
