We requested a new room and the staff gave us a much better room and were so attentive to our needs. The hotel is in a great location in Chepstow. The property is tired and worn but it is tidy and a good bargain for a few nights in the area. "

"Our room was spacious and had a balcony on the lake which was lovely. All staff on reception, in the spa and at breakfast were friendly and warm. Breakfast was good, usual buffet style. All round good value and pleasant stay."

Great food at lunch - The steak and ale pie is excellent, as are the home cooked chips from locally sourced produce.
Lovely quiet, comfortable and clean room with mini fridge, kettle and coffee/tea available. Great breakfast.

Helen was lovely welcoming us, and was very helpful with any queries we had.The cottage was lovely with stunning views of the country, and the pretty garden was large and secure for our dogs to wander around.Location wise, it was only a short drive to Chepstow. Usk, not too far away, is a very pretty town with lovely pub/restaurants. Also visited Tintern Abbey, which was a lovely day out, with lots of craft shops and tearooms.Highly recommend, and would love to visit again sometimeLynn and Carol"
