Platte clove road.. A narrow, two-lane road that climbs 1,200 vertical feet in 1.4 miles .. Have grades as high as 24% .. If you want to travel this road it will be closed in the winter .. It's to steep for trucks to plow .. There are not guard rails so it has great views .. Low gears are better to climb it .. This logging road I think has the best trails and views of the high peaks !

"This is a wonderful house, perfect for a large family or two families. The house is cozy, convenient and very friendly, and the location can't be beat in terms of being near to Hunter Mountain, hiking trails and other great locations in the area. The host was incredibly proactive and helpful and we had an incredible time!"

"A quirky tiny cabin off the beaten path but in need of some upkeep, e.g. toilet not fully attached to the floor in the Tipi room, water has sulphur smell. We were only there for an overnight stay, and I sent a note once we were home, so hopefully the owners get a chance to fix things up! Pricey for its current condition."

"I cannot rave enough about our stay at Dina‘s cabin! Not only was it picture perfect. (Trust me- my tween daughters had lots of TikTok material!) It had every comfort from home imaginable. The setting was great and a short drive to Windham (about 10-12 minutes). The property was immaculate and the beds were super comfy. We are already planning our next visit.
