Our room was musty and humid our entire stay (three nights). The room was clean enough, but it needed some deep cleaning, and it was pretty worn. It needed paint touch-up’s and a few other projects. We thought since there was a kitchenette and cabinets that there wld be dishes and cutlery, but we only had two small coffee cups, two tiny spoons, and two decaf and regular coffee pods (and we reserved the room for four people for three nights). The pillows and mattresses were pretty lumpy. Also the compound was kind of confusing. We didn’t see any signage for the communal kitchen and sauna, although we didn’t walk around knocking on doors either. I wasn’t expecting anything flash, but it just felt run-down. The photos of the beautiful stone and beam kitchenette must be the communal kitchen that we didn’t see. The Commodore room was clean and comfortable. The beds were cozy with nice linens. We appreciated the convenience of the small kitchenette with a coffee maker, microwave, sink, and mini fridge. We had a charming balcony perfect for drinking coffee. We ate our meals at the little dining table that had a lovely view of the lake. The community room had a fully equipped kitchen for preparing meals, interesting books and a fireplace. There is also an outdoor sauna that is perfect for the winter time. We honestly felt so relaxed and peaceful, we did not want to leave. We will definitely be back again. Room was clean & comfortable. Had just about everything you would need for your stay right there in the room. The common area with kitchen was fantastic if coming back from fishing late. Only missed a pizza pan but we improvised. Eric the inn keeper was super friendly and helpful!
