“We absolutely loved the creek! My two dogs loved playing and swimming, and my husband and I loved sitting by the peaceful water flowing by. They got so worn out playing in the creek, and also all the great hiking nearby! Great location, close to Blacksburg if you want to go into town, but isolated enough to be able to relax in nature. The house itself was very clean and comfortable to stay in. We also enjoyed having a fire in the fire pit each night. We would definitely stay here again!”

“Large cabin that is conveniently located near restaurants, many popular destinations and main thoroughfares. Cabin was clean and host quickly responded to any questions we had. Very steep driveway up to the cabin (yes, Roanoke has mountains!) -- but don't be discouraged -- we soon realized that parking was available in an area at bottom of hill with steps up to cabin. If you have a wifi code you should include it in welcome letter as when you get there the service is very low to non existing.”

“This property provides a wonderful riverside stay on the New River right on the river with easy access and easy parking right in front of the cabin efficiency. Close access to to the Whitehorne Boat Ramp for those the need a ramp as well as the scenic McCoys Falls right up Rt 625. Communication and instructions was excellent to plan our arrival and stay for the weekend.We look forward to coming back again this summer.”

“Dirty, stink bugs everywhere!!!!! Needs updating especially considering the price. Never again. Lights don’t work. Windows and doors don’t fit and are hard to operate. Again stick bugs everywhere!!!! Had planned a brunch for the grandchildren but had to cancel because the place was a disaster. I am pretty laid back but this was awful.”

“Unable to get a hotel room so this was the only alternative. The RV was listed as big enough to sleep 4. Three would have been possible but 4 a stretch and there’s no way 4 people could have taken a hot shower. I got a lukewarm one day one (only in for several minutes) and my son’s was ice cold. Also the place was clean but smelled of stale beer. Also the AC ran constantly even though thermostat was set at 75 degrees. Place was frigid.”

“Mr. Hunter's cottage is a lovely cottage from a by-gone era. Located in the mountains of Giles county, VA, this cottage is comfortable with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The cottage is furnished with pieces that could have been there when it was built. The cottage has a beautiful porch, a great place for morning coffee.
