“I spent a few nights in a single room at Pera Residence. The room is enormous, probably bigger than many one-bedroom apartments nearby. The interiors have the faded charm of a more glorious past, but do not expect everything to work perfectly or make much practical sense. A fire exit light directly above the bed made sleeping difficult, and the front desk offered no solution. The washing machine/dryer was a great perk, and the location is superb.”

I paid for a luxury apartment, but what we received was the complete opposite — a very poor, dirty and badly maintained room that was nowhere near the standard we had paid for.
