Over all the hotel was okay, quiet, clean and basic. Breakfast was very basic, for instance, the cheese was wrapped in plastic and tasteless. Staff were helpful and attentive. Excellent coffee!!

The room is clean and the front desk people are friendly, walking distance to cathedral the santa maria del fiore, and many other churches and plazzas, retaurants near by, there is a pizza place next door, the pizza was good and they speak english and Spanish, the train station is about 20 mins walk

Excellent staff. 24 hour front desk. Breakfast was included, not an extra expense. It is on a quiet street about a 15 minute walk from most of the museums and historic sites . We arrived early and our luggage was stored until we returned at the correct sign in time.

This was an excellent place to stay. Positioned as an easy walk to the piazzas and the heart of Florence but not without local charm! The staff were top rate and always friendly. I always feel awkward as an American tourist who doesn’t know much Italian, but they were so patient as I clumsily bounced between languages. Breakfast was great and the room cleaning was excellent and intuitive. My only suggestion would be a small shelf in the shower for shampoo and soap, but that didn’t damper the experience at all.

The room was clean, service is great. I like the garden we're you can seat an eat something. I don't know if they have elevator because I stayed on the first floor. The shower didn't have a lot of pressure. The beds were very comfortable

Lovely quiet hotel, perfect stay

Very quiet hotel, room was comfortable and clean, nice bathroom and shower. My room was on the ground floor and over looked the courtyard which was a lovely place to sit and relax. Air con worked well and was very welcome! Breakfast was included and perfectly adequate if you like a continental breakfast. Reception staff very helpful, providing map of Florence and directing to where I wanted to be. Would come back in an instant!

a very pleasant stay at this hotel

The stay was a pleasure – the location of the hotel just 15 minutes' walk from the train station or the Dome, the very kind hosts providing any information you need, the substantial and high-quality breakfast included, the spacious room, and the impeccable linen. A big plus is the hotel garden which is full of flowers and where you can have moments of relaxation or conversations.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Rita Major. The rooms are basic, but the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, the breakfast was great, and we were close to both the train station and a bus stop that took us to the historic centre in 5 minutes.

Super friendly and helpful staff, everyone spoke english although I try to practice my Italian. Very clean room and bed was nice and firm which been great for my back. A/C worked very good, wish american A/C's worked this good and quiet.
