We were able to walk down to the creek behind the house and do some exploring. But some of us just enjoyed being on the outside deck enjoying the sounds of nature. “Property is fantastic, with fun for the entire family. The only issue was getting in touch with the property. I messaged several times with no reply. The only way we found the property was by showing the reservation to someone that worked at the property. She sent me in the right direction with these parting words. “Good luck, they may have it down, they may not. Organization and customer service are not at the top of the list for VRBO listings”. “What a great house at Rumbling Bald! The house is exactly as pictured, with attention to every detail. Although the lake has been dredged, we still had plenty to do and enjoyed every moment spent in the spacious house. Ian was always accommodating and immediately addressed a minor issue we had. Our family has spent a week at Rumbling Bald the past eight summers. It would be difficult to find a finer home at the resort.”

A few miles from downtown Chimney Rock, right on a Lake Lure quiet cove, and a 1 minute drive from a nice lakeside restaurant. Thank God for that.. as there was not much else to around the area. Most places in the Lake Lure area were damaged by a recent storm. The putting golf in the property was great and so was the hot tub.”
