Nice place to stay, nice welcome. Easy free parking and simple out of hours entry exit for your room. Unfortunately a couple of negatives were the green illuminated exit/safety lamp in your room, never experienced this before in any hotel. Also a member of staff told me that a previous person staying in my room (no7) had an issue with opening the door to the room. There's no issues with the opening it's locking the door behind you. No way would it lock, tried calling the hotel while I was out, no answer. Probably an easy fix but out of pub hours no one answers the phone. Otherwise a pleasant place to stay.

The Hotel looks like needs refurbishment very tired & lacking that clean modern look . Rooms far too small bathroom toilet that wouldn't flush properly No towel rails they had been removed door was held by a nail kept jamming. Bedding didn't fit the bed No floor towel mat either no tissues . No drawer front on dressing table could be sharp if u weren't watching where u put legs certainly no 4 star as mentioned. Coffee wasn't replenished lucky had brought some .Staff were friendly & helpful .Very noisy Hotel in evenings big student area.

The penthouse has much better beds than other rooms here but I still have the same complaint about the coffee. No hotel should ever serve instant coffee. Please just provide a proper nespresso or similar and proper coffee. It’s not that hard but unfortunately most hotels in the UK are like this. INSTANT COFEE SUCKS! Period, full stop.

Had an excellent stay. Staff were most helpful. Would stay again 2 small things, Paintwork chipped in room Nowhere to open suitcase to unpack No suitcase rack Most enjoyable stay!
