She has a number of books about the area including the logging history and the history of the Mablel Tainter Theater. We have already ordered a book of the logging that she showed us. We would definitely recommend this B&B! It would be a big mistake not to stay if you are in the area!"
"I loved that when I checked in, the person who greeted me was engaging & kind. However, one of my kids left their plushie and mini blanket on the couches, and the following day it was still there. I was surprised that no one decided to check the area and place the items behind the counter as lost & found.
My kids and I enjoyed everything else. Breakfast was good (except the biscuits). I saw the staff always stocked up when it was starting to run low. Thanks for the stay. "

"I've stayed at almost every no-frills motel in Eau Claire (I live in the Northwoods and do my stock up shopping in EC), and this one was the best. Perfect...no. It needs some work, but you can see the effort they are putting into it. Live plants inside, landscaping, clean, quiet. I watched one of the staff outside weeding and caring for flowers, and for the indoor plants which had been brought out, and it was clear the pride the motel takes in it's appearance.
I stayed on the hottest day of the year and the AC was amazing! I loved that my dog was able to stay with me, no fuss at all. I didn't ask much of staff, but they were swift to respond.
