"Staff friendly and competent. OK breakfast. Diner was fine. We could not quite understand the high rating this hotel got. Forest themed, the decoration was sad, a bit outdated and worn. The mattresses were thin and not particularly comfortable. Our view of the forest was to a rain drenched copse strewn with beer cans and a tissue (I hope unused). Perfectly adequate, but overrated.

"Das Hotel liegt abseits des Verkehrs direkt an der Spree. Mein Zimmer war ausreichend groß und sauber. Das Bett war bequem, was die Matratze angeht. Einzig das Kopfkissen war zumindest aus meiner Sicht und der meines mitreisenden Cousins im anderen Zimmer eine Katastrophe. Eine einzige Luftnummer. Also kaum Volumen. Das mag persönlicher Geschmack, aber zumindest aus unserer Sict war das ein Manko.
Das Personal war top. Sei es bei der Unterstützung in Sachen Unterbringung der Fahrräder im hauseigenen Fahrradcontainer oder auch beim morgendlichen Frühstücksbuffet, welches sehr reichhaltig und lecker war, es waren ausschließlich nette und zuvorkommende Kontakte."

We tried to check in early and when they didn't have rooms clean yet, they were kind enough to store our suitcases so we could go explore. My only complaint was breakfast, which is additional cost. It was 37 euros (roughly $43 USD) and it was no more than a sparse continental breakfast bar (cold meats and cheese slices, yogurt and toppings, various breads, and some fruit). We would have gotten breakfast somewhere else had we known that's all that would be offered. You live, you learn :) "
