“Staff were a delight the entire stay. Room (1) was beautiful and clean, with windows on 3 sides (excellent for a breeze), lovely roll top bed, comfy mattress and very nice modern bathroom. Bathrobes were a nice touch. Ate at the hotel Saturday night and it was superb. Scotch egg was delicious, pork fabulous and the pizza was gorgeous. Excellent wine selection and utterly superb soft drink (bottles in the fridge) range. Breakfast was really good. Yoghurt, fruits and cereal, then cooked……

“Simply fantastic. Be that the location, food, drinks and the whole aesthetic of the pub & rooms. The star of the show was Manager Joe, I’ve never felt so welcome or accommodated at any property before. I would stay again in a heartbeat.”

“The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Service is very good. The double room was very clean and tidy. Also quite, though you do, as someone else has mentioned previously, hear the church bells. Have to say it was not a problem for me. The room was very comfortable, a lovely view along Church Lane and across the stone cottages. It has the usual room facilities. The bathroom facilities were very good, especially the shower, as it was one of the few that I have used in hotels that did not leak……

“Beautiful, cosy 14th century inn with rooms. Picture postcard perfect and in a great location for walks and a short drive to Tisbury High Street. Food in the pub was excellent as was choice of drinks. Plenty of car parking right opposite”

“Owner and staff were incredibly accommodating! When we walked in, the bartender checked us in seamlessly, walked us to our room, helped us with our bags, and by the time we meandered back down to the bar, drinks were waiting for us. We opted for breakfast the next day and had the most delicious full English. The outdoor space is also incredibly comfortable and inviting. Would 100% both recommend this gem AND stay here again in a heartbeat.”
