"Richard was the perfect host! The cottage was immaculate, decorated so nicely, VERY thoughtfully put together with many nice touches! Lots of board games, binoculars, plush bath and beach towels, and so much more! A welcome card with a nice bottle of wine. Kayaks were great! If we needed anything Richard was right there to help! The deck right on the waters edge was perfection! The fishing on the lake was awesome!!! We caught so many fish! We were so impressed with everything, you can tell so much love and thought went into making it a welcoming, cozy cottage. and will definitely be back again next summer :)"

"Lisa was a wonderful host, very accommodating to our needs, always got back to us asap when we had any questions and supplied things like snacks, water & coffee which was not expected at all. My only slight disappointment, I say slight because we had so much to do that we didn't really have time to enjoy it, was the lake view. I expected the lake to be directly across from the house with a straight clear view but the house was one house up from the corner. However, I would certainly book here again. The most important part of the experience is a great house and that, Lisa was for sure."

"Great secluded home, very quiet. Everything was as advertised. The home was very clean and well equipped. We cooked all our meals here and it was very user friendly. The pups loved the play yard and the deck to lounge on. Also was able to take them for short walks. Perfect spot."

"We loved the house and the location on the lake. So many great beautiful spots to sit with your coffee and relax or just pop in the water for a kayak or swim. The house had everything you need. They had thought of everything. Beds were comfortable, plenty of blankets and AC in the one room upstairs and the downstairs stayed very cool even on hot days. We had a few small issues while we were there and the owner was very fast to respond and communicative. "

"We loved the house and location. We kept saying how peaceful it was. House was beautiful. They boys loved the canoe & fishing. The game room got plenty of use as well as the awesome screen projector in the living room. We would love to stay again.The only negative was the house was not very clean upon arrival. The floors needed to be done & tables wiped, bag of trash in the driveway. The management company did ask if we need them to take care of anything but no big deal we took care of it."

"Clean,spacious property. Quiet. Kitchen had adequate dishes,pans etc to make simple meals. Only 2 of the bedrooms had air conditioning, and it was rather hot during out stay. The other rooms had fans and we were able to make do."

"We had a wonderful stay at Varney Hill Farm. The Loft apartment had everything we needed for our long-weekend stay visiting the Lakes Region. The apartment was clean and well kept. It was a nice balance of rustic, cozy charm for an 1800s farmhouse with the right touch of modern amenities. We got to explore the property a little bit, getting to see the horses, cows, and pigs. Even explored some of the trails, which the farm is adjacent to town and state conservation land. Hosts Patti and Matt are great people and easy to reach in case of anything. Our dog ended up taking a tumble down the steps leading up to the loft and Patti was right there offering anything she could, even finding material to act as a temporary gate which was much appreciated. Pup's okay btw, just a swollen lip and a bruised ego. She thoroughly enjoyed her farm visit, too. Will definitely look to stay here the next time we're up in the area."

"We had a wonderful stay at this spacious and peaceful home on Sunset Lake. We traveled with our family, including teens and a twin 5-year-olds, and the house worked perfectly for all ages. The open floor plan, multiple bedrooms, and kid-friendly setup made it super comfortable for everyone.The lakefront location is absolutely stunning. We enjoyed sunrises and sunsets every day, listening to the loons, and spending time on the private dock and in the hot tub. The kayaks—especially the kid-sized ones—were a huge hit! It was the perfect mix of relaxation and fun.I was also able to work remotely while we were there, thanks to the fast and reliable internet. The peaceful setting made it easy to balance both work and family time.The home is in a great location—quiet and private, but still close to Gunstock Mountain and Alton Bay for outings, food, and activities.Jason, the host, was fantastic—very responsive and helpful anytime we had a question. We truly appreciated his communication and hospitality.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to families looking for a relaxing lakeside getaway."

"The cabin is so cute and cozy! Very comfortable. We slept great! The neighbors were very friendly and even invited us over! The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The lake beach were amazing! We had a wonderful weekend getaway. The hosts are easy to contact. We will stay again! Love love the location! The only downside is there is no lake view from the cottage like we thought but easy lake access. We did not use the hot tub, washer/dryer or fire pit but those are great amenities! This place has it all! Thank you as well for the coffee! This was the perfect little retreat!"

"The pictures don’t do this GEM justice! The yard is a great size and flowers are everywhere which gives you a happy feeling pulling up. The inside was very clean, comfy and we had great instructions on everything. We will be back soon!"
