Great getaway
Property was clean, cozy, secluded and had everything we needed for a long weekend. Host was great with communication. We would definitely recommend this place and hope to return for another trip in the future.

Fall getaway
Had a great time at this cute place on the water. Great driveway and water access. It was a long way from anything (which was fine with me), but we enjoyed driving the area to see the sights.

Pleasant stay
We are four brothers and our four sons who stayed for a week. It is difficult to find accommodations that include 8 separate beds, so this location was ideal. Unfortunately, we picked a week where the fish were not very cooperative, but we still had a great time. The rare occasions that we had to deal with the host were pleasant and productive. We will be considering this place for next year's trip.

Great cabin!!
This was the perfect place for my group to stay for the week for fishing. Lots of beds, lots of room, and right on a lake. The cabin is nice and clearly the owners are working on making some improvements.

UP vacation
The cabin had a nice view of the lake, the use of the kayaks was awesome, great centralized location to all we wanted to see(Mackinac Island, Picture Rocks, Tacquonemon Falls, Whitefish point/bay). Curtis is a cute place to get groceries and not far from cabin. This is a great place to get unplugged and relax.

Extremely peaceful
This cabin is in a beautiful spot on Lake, sand beach by the dock. We brought a boat and our dogs. We did some fishing and just spent some quality time catching up with friends. The cabin was very clean and was great for our get away. Annie was also great to deal with I never got to meet her in person but she is a great host. She gave us some great information about the area and called to make sure we found the key and asked if we needed anything that we could contact her. I would stay here again in a minute just maybe longer next time.

Great secluded get away in the UP
This was our second year at this property. And there was some much-needed upgrades such as a new vacuum there are new mattresses in the second floor. But we always have a great stay at this place. It’s very secluded and quiet and close to Curtis I would recommend it for any family

Our stay
The cabin has great potential but all the beds were awful. It could have been cleaned better there was cat food on the floor, which is an issue when you have a 1 year old, crumbs on the carpet from the prior guests, and the windows seals were disgusting when you wanted to open it for fresh air. The location is great and the outside area is perfect! The property manager answered my email right away!

Fishing escape
We liked the isolated setting....we met up with our son and his wife (half way between our home in Wisconsin and his in Michigan). Caught lots of fish and visited waterfalls.

Quiet cabin on the lake
The property is very remote and quiet. The lake was very nice. We enjoyed the row boat. The house was spacious however the rooms upstairs had either no mattress or very old mattresses. We did bring some inflatable mattresses fortunately. The cleaning crew could have done a better job. There were cob webs all over the bathroom and mildew or mold on the wall behind the toilet. The fan did not work in the first floor bathroom which could be part of the problem.

Not bad
Needed more cleaning, I told the manager and the same day it got done. Some of the many (11) beds don’t have a mattress, couple just a box spring, needs new flooring all over. A beautiful spot tucked away on a dead end road. The dock could use adjusting. With a little elbow grease this place could be great! This location is central located between many activities! The lake is quiet and peaceful and a perfect View for nightly sunset !

Needs cleaned
You need to market this as a hunting cabin not a vacation rental. You should not rent this property again until you address the problem of not having legitimate beds. You can not list 2 twins pushed together as a queen. The property was dirty. The bathroom was disgusting. Hairs around the toilet and hairs in the tub. I had to clean the bathroom so my wife would use it. Overall this property has good potential. You really need to address how you have this property listed and be honest about what it is. I have never left a review before on any VRBO property we have rented but it was necessary to leave a review on this one.

The bed situation was NOT GOOD
Overall first impression is that everything was old and dirty/unkept. The bed situation was not good! Upstairs: There are twin frames everywhere but not enough mattresses for them. The full bed upstairs is on the floor with no frame. Our backs were so messed up we slept on the couches downstairs. The couches are old and dirty. The downstairs bed is two twins but the adults complained of those mattresses too. I tried booking a hotel the last night due to back pain issues from sleeping on the full mattress upstairs. There is no dishwasher even though evolve email says there is. The carpet on the main floor is filthy. The shower curtain needs to be changed immediately, very dirty and unhygienic. The pontoon is unsafe and shouldn't be listed with the rental. We booked because of the pontoon but weren't able to use it. Recommend the owners pull the ad listing pontoon. Lastly, there needs to be additional trash cans outside to store garbage. The Pros: the cabin is directly on the lake and in a good location for seeing various things in the U.P. Very private. There is plumbing, electricity, and a microwave, stove.
