The pool and surrounding area was generous and perfectly maintained with the host cleaning it every morning. The villa exceeded our expectations. We recommend this villa, the hosts and the quieter, more genuine regional location to anyone wanting a real Tuscan experience."

"When I dreamt of visiting Tuscany, Villa Olivi was what I dreamt of. It was perfect for our friends and us. The views are incredible, and the house was very comfortable and accommodating. As withers have expressed, there is one tight squeeze going up the hill in a car, but otherwise the whole experience was magical."

"A beautiful farmhouse in a stunning location. The house was clean, tidy and well equipped with comfortable beds and ample space to sit both inside and out for dining and relaxing. The views are quite spectacular and waking every morning to open the shutters to this was breathtaking. The metato was superb and made a great space for my sister and her family to stay in, containing separate bathrooms and tea and coffee making facilities. 7 of us stayed very comfortably within the main house and 3 in the metato with room for another. The pool area was especially relaxing, with a good sized clean pool, a table chairs and sun loungers. Most importantly, there were sun umbrellas and plenty of shade in all the seating areas. Plenty of board games and books are provided and the sitting room is a perfect space for all sitting together. The local Spar provides most of the basics and is around an 8 minute drive away.We cannot recommend this property enough, Mike was brilliant at communicating and sent us all the information we needed for a very smooth stay. We were all very impressed and sad to leave this little piece of Tuscan heaven."

"The villa offered us everything we needed for an extended stay in beautiful Barga. The owners were lovely and provided us with everything we required. The pool area and views from the terrace in particular are stunning. We like to cook and we had pretty much everything we needed to be able to do as we liked. The sleeping areas are fine. Two things to keep in mind. There is no air conditioning so you need to be careful and use the shutters and windows to best effect. The second is the hill leading to the town centre. It takes 15 - 20 mins to walk there, all uphill. This wasn’t an issue for us but might be for some. All in all I would definitely recommend this villa."

"We were made very welcome by Paola, Carlo and Loretta- and they kindly left us a bottle of Chianti and some local honey to welcome us further. The accommodation was much larger and airier than we had anticipated, with full air conditioning throughout. The super king bed on the mezzanine floor was very comfortable . The patio provided a shady place to eat , and a welcome escape from the sun. The pool is absolutely beautiful, set in landscaped gardens, under imposing mountains. It is stunning and absolutely pristine. The facilities are excellent and it is well placed for local restaurants, bars and shopping. We stayed for three weeks. It was perfect! "
